Trusts Attorney Naomi Stal

Naomi Stal

Thousand Oaks Estate Planning Attorney

Trusts Attorney Naomi Stal’s path to estate planning and a dedication to protecting families and providing them with emotional, financial, and spiritual security began more than twenty years ago. Naomi’s first career, a practicing social worker in Baltimore City, led her to becoming a Certified Transformative Mediator in 1997. Once she discovered mediation, she felt passionate about becoming an attorney to further help families, particularly by protecting children from unnecessary trauma relating to divorce.

Once an attorney, Naomi spent five years as an in-house business attorney, first at a cutting-edge finance/tech start up in Beverly Hills, and later at a technology start up in Culver City, California. Eventually, she transitioned to custody and divorce mediation and representation, while still retaining business clients in the technology industry.

Her law career took a dramatic turn on March 17, 2017. A uniformed police offer came to her door that evening and informed her that her husband’s body was spotted in the ocean that afternoon, and he was now unconscious, with machines breathing for him in an intensive care unit at a local hospital. She was completely unprepared for this kind of life event and realized that everyone needs an estate plan, regardless of their income bracket or assets. It took almost two years, but her husband’s brain injury and body miraculously healed. After that experience, Trusts Attorney Naomi Stal changed areas of law to devote her efforts to the many facets of estate planning, including trusts and healthcare directives, which can provide legal family security for all aspects of life.

Naomi graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a Bachelor in Social Work and minor in Community Development. She earned her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, where she worked at the Center for Creative Problem Solving, and was President of the Jewish Student Union. She loves to travel, host dinner parties, practice her Hebrew speaking, and spend time with her daughter and husband.
